Singleton Doctors is a well established practice that has been in Singleton for nearly 8 years. Dr. Akram recently purchased the business and is looking forward to further developing the practice in the future.
We are conveniently located on the outside of the Singleton Square Shopping Complex (accessible from John Street) and open 7 days a week.
For your convenience we offer an online appointment booking system and provide access to both female and male GP’s.
Our practice has been accredited by Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited (AGPAL). We meet all the guidelines and practice standards established by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dr. Muhammad Akram
GP | FRACGP, MBBS
Dr. Akram is our principal GP and Fellow with several years of experience at Singleton Doctors. Before settling in Singleton, Dr. Akram worked at Shoal Haven Hospital in 2011, spent some time working in emergency medicine in Sydney in 2012, and then headed out to Kalgoorlie for a year in 2013. Since 2014 Dr. Akram has been busy working at Singleton Doctors and busy raising his young family. Dr. Akram performs Skin Checks, Cryotherapy, Biopsies, Ear Syringing with interests in Family Medicine, Critical cases and Crisis Care.
Dr. Akram speaks English, Urdu, and Punjabi.
Dr. Usman Niaz
GP | MBBS
Dr. Usman joins singleton Doctors as a full time doctor. He has recently moved to the Hunter Valley from country Victoria. He is experienced in many areas and has a speciality in skin excisions. He is taking on new patients.
Dr. Niaz speaks English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu.
Dr. Dinesh Kumarage
GP | MBBS
He has worked for 8 years in Sri Lanka, 2 years in the UL and 9 years in Australia.
While working in Australia he has done work in the following areas, Emergency Department, ICU, Anaesthesia, GP and most of these have been rural and remote areas.
His hobbies/ interests outside of work are Cricket and Badminton.

Madhushani Bandara

worked as a Medical Officer in Anaesthesia and ICU in base and tertiary care hospitals in Sri Lanka for nearly 10 years. I have also worked as a General Practitioner in Sri Lanka.
I have worked in Campbelltown, Camden and Fairfield Hospitals as an unaccredited trainee in Emergency Medicine for 1.5 years. Then I moved to central coast in 2021 and worked in various departments including General Medicine, Rehabilitation, Emergency, Orthopaedic and Geriatrics, as a Resident Medical Officer, before moving onto general practice at Singleton Doctors.
